Structure
The academic programme of the congress consists of:
- plenary sessions
- section lectures
- symposia
The work of the Congress will primarily take the form of plenary sessions and symposia; however, section lectures are also welcome. Our second circular will provide a preliminary list of the symposia, but let us stress that the academic programme of the Congress is by no means closed: the organizers welcome further proposals with suitable themes that are able to mobilize those interested in new symposia.
The structure of each symposium and the selection of participants is the sole responsibility of the chairperson. The symposia will be held between 9 and 12 a. m. and 2 and 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, respectively on Thursday and Saturday morning.
Section lectures will preserve their traditional format. The organizers are free to define the structure and the topics of the sections based on the registered proposals. The proceedings of the sections and symposia will take place simultaneously.
Lectures should take no longer than 20 minutes and will be followed by 10 minute-long discussions.
The abstracts of the lectures are to be displayed only via the internet in electronic format. Therefore all the participants are kindly asked to check our homepage regularly for the latest information regarding our conference.
Following the Congress we plan to publish the lectures of the symposia and the sections.
If you wish to attend the Congress and want to receive the second circular, please, register by filling in the online registration form. You can also fill in the downloadable format and send it to the organizers before 15th July 2010. We would appreciate your kind help in informing your colleagues about the proceedings of the congress.
